Unlock the Growlanser II characters in Growlanser III
In Growlanser III, near the end of the game, it's possible to import the
characters from Growlanser II into your file and have them enter your
party. Note that Sereb and Patrick cannot be imported in (despite that
Sereb has an ending with you). There are three steps to follow before you
can import the characters.
1) When you go to the Bibliostock Library with Viktor in your party, have
him read the book "How to make a Space-Time Fusion Device". If you didn't
do it the first time, near the end of the game you can return to the top
of the library and read all of the books (Talk to the mayor's butler if
they say you need permission).
2) In the Arena, win the 1-vs-1 battle tournaments repeatedly until you
unlock the 2-vs-2 and 4-vs-4 arena battles. Compete in and clear the first
4-vs-4 arena battle to recieve the "Power Stone"
3) After winning the battle in Lindenberg near the end of the game, have
Viktor inspect the Teleport Device. As he fixes it, he will find the "Mind
Induction Metal".
To import the characters, once you have cleared all of the steps, gather
your party in the main headquarters and make sure Hugh is with you, but
kick Viktor out. Go talk to him, and 'use' the Power Stone. Viktor will
use it to create a Time Space Fusion device temporarily, using the
teleporter in his lab. The game will automatically detect the data on your
most recently saved Growlanser II file, and import any available
characters. They will be imported with their same levels, abilities, etc.
as they had in the game, along with their armour, rings, and gems (with
the exception of Maximillian, who will join at level 30, approximately
like he was during the final battle). The characters will go to occupy
rooms in the upper levels of the Apartment Building, and you can add them
to your party as you would normally do to switch characters.
You can only do this once per Growlanser III file, however, so make sure
you have all the characters you want to bring in before attempting this,
or else you'll have to wait until your next

Secrets
Growlanser III dance mode
In Growlanser III plug a dance-pad controller into controller port 2.
Whenever a spell is cast DDR-style arrows will apear at the bottom of the
screen. If you dance the sequence correctly, then the magic will do extra
damage!

Secret Level 2 M2 Gem
(Note: This gem is only available in Growlanser III)
To earn this gem, you must do all of the following in the Arena:
Damage Competition - Place 1st (Score at least 555 damage)
Upper Class Tournament - Clear all 12 Rounds
Silver Class Tournament - Clear all 12 Rounds
Gold Class Tournament - Clear all 12 Rounds
Platinum Class Tournament - Clear all 12 Rounds
Free Battle 1-on-1 - Clear the S-Class Tournament
Free Battle 2-on-2 - Clear the S-Class Tournament
Free Battle 4-on-4 - Clear the S-Class Tournament
Exhibition Match - Defeat all 12 enemies personally to become Champion
Special Match: Gold Slimes - Defeat all 10 Gold Slimes in the time limit
Special Match: Souls - Defeat all 10 Souls in the time limit
Once you've done that, you will have achieved 'perfection' in the
Colliseum. Talk to the woman at the front desk, and you will recieve the
Level 2 M2 Gem. It raises your base statistics (STR, INT, DEX) by 50 each,
which also means that your HP, MP, DEF, ATK, and MOV ratings will also
recieve a massive boost!

Unlockables
Get Lvl 2 Blood Blade gem really early.
In the beginning of Growlanser II, gems may be hard to come by. There is,
however a certain hidden gem you can get right in the beginning of the
game. This gem, called Lvl 2 Blood Blade gives your character a percentage
of damage dealt back as HP.
To get this gem, look through all the topics about Ring Weapons & Gems
from Kingdom Archives at Burnstein Capital at the beginning of the game.
When you exit this section, the game will tell you something slipped out
the pages. That something is the Lvl 2 Blood Blade gem.
